Dear PiFO Supporter,

In my last email I referenced the beginning of our Spring Semester at the Corban extension in OSCI. Included was this photo of our students in class.

The email had an immediate impact on one of our supporters. Here is his response to me:

Tom:
Thank you for showing me the real-life drama occurring with these men – who choose a better life, a better way.

It is cemented in my mind, thanks to the uncaring news media and its talking heads, that the incarcerated are the worst of the worst and there is no hope for them. But just seeing a picture of them hard at work with their studies wells up within me an emotion that humbles me, an emotion that reminds me that these men are worth every effort that Paid in Full Oregon can muster. This same emotion rose up in me when I saw the signatures of the men/students in last month’s newsletter. All I can say is that God is using pictures and handwriting to reach me.

I commit to helping financially beyond what I currently do. In fact, I usually send $XX at the end of each year, but I am being called to give $XX a month.  And I will also spread the news of Paid in Full Oregon to my family and friends.

Thank you for listening,

BH

I think this response does not need any further comment from me. It just goes to show how change can happen in a person’s heart. These responses show how God is not only working in the lives of our students, but also in our supporters. Praise Him!

Ever grateful,
