This month, something remarkable is happening inside the prison walls of OSCI—and it’s because of your faithful support.
Through the Making Peace with Your Past Bible study, students are beginning a journey of healing that many never imagined possible. During weeks 1 to 3 of this study, students are courageously confronting the pain of their pasts and discovering the hope of Christ.
Week 1 – Facing the Truth
Many students have spent years pretending everything was fine, but deep down, they couldn’t help but ask themselves, ‘What’s wrong with me?”
With your help, these men learn that freedom begins when we stop hiding and start trusting God with our brokenness.
Week 2 – Recognizing the Impact
Many of the students endured chaos—abuse, addiction, and abandonment—from a very young age. This study is helping them put words to their wounds and offering light for the road ahead.
Several themes have surfaced through these discovery conversations—such as being overly busy, angry, or deeply hurt. One small group reflected together, If we stop, we feel shame.
Your giving is helping them name the pain—and give it to Christ.
Week 3 – Discovering Identity in Christ
Students are learning that they are not defined by their past. They reflected on the early life of Saul, who was later renamed Paul and used by God to reshape the history of the Church. They also meditated on the powerful truth of 1 Peter 2:9-10: “But you are a chosen generation…”
Because of you, stories of redemption like this are being written—day by day.
Thank you for being part of something eternal. Your generosity is helping adult in custody students take their first steps toward healing, hope, and a whole new life in Christ.
Grateful for your friendship,
