Being sent to prison is not something most people would be grateful for. But in the “cold case” that ultimately led to Brad’s arrest, it was a relief. He’d been a fugitive from the law for many years. And during that time, he had a radical conversion to Christ. He got married, had three children, started a new life. But the nagging guilt and grief over his actions and the life he took hung like a dark cloud over his life, robbing him of inner peace.

Brad’s wife Angie, is thankful that Brad is in our program with Corban University. Their daughters now have a different story to tell about their dad. She says, “You should see the girl’s faces light up when they talk about their dad now because he is going to college. This program is going to give my husband more knowledge for how to share Jesus and to help other prisoners. And that is his passion and his mission. We are so thankful.”
There are many other families, who will gather around the Thanksgiving table this year, deeply grateful that their son has a greater purpose for his time in prison, and the opportunity to make a difference.
Thank you for your love and generosity that gives these men and their families a different story to tell this Thanksgiving. God is using you in the story of their lives.
No matter what your current situation – please remember this word from I Thessalonians 5:18: “…give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
