In my last email on June 15 our third annual campaign for the Securebook laptop was launched. This is the first time in the history of the Oregon Department of Corrections that AICs have been allowed to use and possess individual laptops.
We need to purchase 25 more laptops for our third cohort of students. The cost of each laptop is $700 which includes the installation of the operating system and other software.
To date, we have 16 laptops that have been pledged by our generous supporters. We only need nine more!
If you feel led, please donate today so we can continue working with the students at OSCI and bless them with the tools needed to complete their education.
Please also join us in prayer over this upcoming school year as we excitedly await for God to continue to change lives.
Ripple Effect Fundraiser Update
Also, we are now up to $220,000 raised from our virtual fundraiser, the Ripple Effect, which was held on March 11.
If you missed the event, a shortened version of it can be found on the front page of our website. Please consider sharing this link with your friends.
The goal was $250,000. We are getting close!
Thank you so much for your prayers and for your financial support for our students. They are making a positive impact on fellow AICs and DOC staff.
