Dear Supporters of PiFO,
Life with Covid has been challenging for everyone! Our PiFO/Corban extension in the Oregon State Correctional Institution (OSCI) is no exception. State guidelines have kept us from being able to offer in-person instruction. However, our first year cohort began instruction in early October through packets that are delivered to OSCI weekly. Our goal is to be offering live instruction to both our first and second year cohorts beginning in January, 2021.
As you know, the remodel of the 3300 square foot classroom space began over a year ago. A huge shout-out goes to the general contractor, FFosil Construction. Nick Lisoff, the owner, oversaw the project from start to finish and it was completed in a timely and professional manner. By God’s grace and through your generous financial and prayer support $684,500 was raised and the remodel is officially complete! The classrooms are READY for students.
Students in our 2nd cohort have been transferred to OSCI and they are SET to start classes.
Now we’re just waiting for the word GO from OSCI. Below are some photos of the best classroom space in the Oregon Department of Corrections.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3474″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1604964795415{margin-top: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1604972086419{margin-top: 25px !important;}”]Our sophomore class is well into their Fall Semester and our freshman class is set to begin in a few weeks. Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support. Everyday there is transformation taking place at OSCI.
Ever grateful,
