Dear Supporters of PiFO,
Last year, PiFO inaugurated the first Corban college extension in the Oregon State Correctional Institution with its first cohort of adults in custody (AICs). These 25 men began classes during the first week of October, 2019. They are presently in the process of finishing their first year of college in prison. In just three more years they will become our first-ever graduating class!
We have more good news! Our second cohort is nearly selected. We have 28 finalists for the 25 positions. Here is a breakdown of their ethnicity:

Ethnicity
- 5 African American AICs
- 3 Asian AICs
- 17 Caucasian AICs
- 1 Hispanic
- 2 Native American AICs
Age
- 2 AICs ages 20-29
- 10 AICs ages 30-39
- 13 AICs ages 40-49
- 2 AICs ages 50-59
- 0 AICs ages 60-69
- 1 AIC ages 70-79
For most of these men, this will be the first time they have set foot in a post- secondary classroom. This will be the first time they have had professors who are praying with them for success. This will be the first time their families on the outside will have cause to celebrate. And this will be the first time they have supporters, like you, praying for their future in prison.
Always grateful,
Tom

FUNDRAISER UPDATE: Our fundraiser for September 26 has been postponed until November. We are in the process of going over the details of preparing for this special event. There is much to do. Our budget for July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 is $300,000. In these challenging times, our Board of Directors wants to make sure this event is as successful as possible. We covet your prayers as we prepare for November.
